Traditional Efforts in Turkey
The Minikler and Stars Open Air Bow Shooting Championships, organized by the Turkey Traditional Turkish Archery Federation (TGTOF), will take place on August 1, 2026, at the Kütahya City's traditional archery training facilities. This event is characterized by the use of traditional attire and weapons.
First Days
On Saturday, August 1, 2026, a medal ceremony for the top three finishers in the minik girls and boys categories will be held at Kütahya City's traditional archery training facilities. While the winners are determined based on their scores, the federation also rewards competitors who adhere to its rules and traditions.
Second Days
On Sunday, August 2, 2026, medal ceremonies for individual star girls and boys, miniks aged 12-13, and team stars will take place at Kütahya City's traditional archery training facilities. A total of 479 athletes are expected to participate in these competitions.
The Federation's Anti-Cheating Policies
Cengiz TOKSÖZ, the head of the Independence and Proximity with the People section of the federation, will attend the protocol ceremony for this event. Traditional archery competitions and attire rules continue to be governed by the TGTOF.
The federation emphasizes that using traditional bows and arrows is mandatory for individual athletes; any deviation from protocols or use of equipment that assists in scoring is not allowed.
