The Turkish Football Federation has signed a significant partnership to contribute to the development of Turkish refereeing. British elite referee Anthony Taylor has started his role as MHK Elite Referee Director. Taylor, who has been a top-level referee in the English Football Association since 2013, has held a FIFA badge since 2013. He has refereed numerous critical matches in FIFA World Cup, UEFA European Football Championship, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Nations League, and FIFA Club World Cup. In his international career, Taylor has refereed the 2022/2023 UEFA Europa League Final, 2023 FIFA Club World Cup Final, 2021 UEFA Nations League Final, and 2020 UEFA Super Cup Final. In England, he has refereed the 2015 EFL Cup Final, 2015 FA Community Shield, 2017 and 2020 Emirates FA Cup finals, and 2018 Championship Play-off Final. As MHK Elite Referee Director, Taylor will lead the development of elite referees' technical development processes, performance evaluation systems, education programs, match analysis, and feedback processes in line with UEFA and FIFA standards. The Turkish Football Federation believes that Taylor's international experience and high-level expertise will make significant contributions to the development of Turkish refereeing and wishes him a successful tenure.
